SATANG was started by Yvonne and myself in 1991. I was given my first Afghan at the age of 15 and have now been involved for 43 years with this wonderful breed. I am a qualified Hound Group judge and have judged in several countries around the World.
Since the start of "Satang", Yvonne and I have bred 30 Champions with 5 of those going on to be Grand Champions. One of our dogs "Satang Top Hat N Tails" is also an Indian, American and Canadian Champion. Many are also Multiple Best in Show winners at All Breeds and Specialty level.

We have bred some wonderful dogs for ourselves and others and hope to continue doing so for many years to come. As well as our Afghans we are slowly moving into the world of the Whippet. Another Sighthound and another great hound breed. We have 2 champions from our first litter with one being a Multi Best in Show winner.

At "Satang" we don't breed often, but we are very careful about what we do and always plan to breed for type and soundness. Both in body and mind. Please have a look around our site, where you will find news and information on all our Afghans and Whippets; past, present and future.
